Collegiate Work
This page is dedicated to my collegiate photo and video work taken for The University of Delaware and Montana Technological University.

Montana Tech Classes/Labs
In June of 2019, I covered the Firefly Music Festival in Dover, DE. The annual festival has thousands of attendees each year and featured artists such as Bishop Briggs, AJR, Walk the Moon, TLC, Post Malone, Yung blud, White Panda, Quinn XCII, Gunna, Sir Sly and more that year. Most of which is included in this coverage, which consisted of all festival three days and campers arriving prior to the festival.
Note: It was ungodly hot.
UD Esports Grand Opening

UD held a grand opening for the brand new Esports lounge constructed inside of the Perkins Student Center on campus. The University President, Dennis Assanis, as well as members of the National Association of Collegiate Esports helped introduce the lounge and already established Blue Hen Esports team to the public.
Note: I got free chocolate covered strawberries that were intended for visitors and school officials.
Construction at the University of Delaware

Construction to replace aging pipes was well underway at the University of Delaware all throughout the 2018-2020 semesters. These shots were compiled and printed in the paper as a lone photo story in The Review's weekly paper.
Note: What was formally known as "The Green" was now "The Brown" due to the construction killing all the grass.
Montana Tech Civil Engineering Intro video
Professors Jessica Daignault and Bret Robertson introduce themselves to incoming students in this video highlighting aspects of the civil engineering department and the students in it! Accompanied by students, Erik Cassagranda and Mehana Benson, the professors hoped to bring more awareness to their department in this short video.
Montana Tech Research
The Delaware State Fire School held a Firefighter day for local children to come by and see what training for firefighters and SWAT teams looks like. This included SWAT team breaches/takedowns, fire safety protocols, fire extinguishing demonstrations, obstacle courses and educational lessons.
Note: Firefighters are kinda cool and I wanted to use the fire hose.
Delaware State Park Winter InstaMeet at Cape Henlopen State Park
As a Delaware State Park Volunteer Photographer, I helped shoot the DSP InstaMeet held at Cape Henlopen State Park. Over 200 visitors were led on an educational walk along the park's beach during the sunset. We walked along part of the beach leading up to "The Point", which after that day would close for the season to allow for migratory shore birds to peacefully nest.
Note: It was nine types of cold.
Wilmington Landfill vs. Community
This story involved a dispute between a major landfill outside of Wilmington and neighboring developments. The Mid-Atlantic PR rep for Waste Management gave my colleague and I a tour of the facility, as well as a breakdown of the landfill expansion they were working on.
Note: It smelled as you would assume.
Horseshoe Crab Flipping at Pickering Beach
This story followed pharmaceutical officials flipping over horseshoe crabs on Pickering Beach in Dover, DE. This annual event was held to show the officials and scientists working with horseshoe crab blood in labs what the species looks like in the wild. the Delaware bay is the only place in the world that these creatures migrate to the shore and mate. They have done this for hundreds of thousands of years, without fail.
Note: I have never seen so many horseshoe crabs in my life; big fan.
University of Delaware Stadium Construction

Home of the Fighting Blue Hens, Tubby Raymond Field, went through a million dollar upgrade to help modernize the fan experience for fans attending games. Stands were taken down and replaced during the offseason, just in time for football to start back up at UD.
Note: Old stadium or new didn't matter, team still wasn't very good.
DMV Black Plate Giveaway
At the Dover DMV I covered the releasing of new black license plate numbers for Delaware residents. People were lined up at 6 am just to make sure they were among the 100 people that were able to put in for a 5-digit black plate on a first-come first-serve basis.
Note: I had to wake up too early for this story, and hold all of the people at the DMV accountable for my lack of sleep.
UDairy's New Cheese Curd Production Room
The University of Delaware's in-house creamery, UDairy, constructed a new lab to begin processing cheese curds as a menu item to sell at select locations and football games. Workers and students studying agriculture and food science walked myself and a reporter through the process of making the cheese curds.
Note: They gave us free cheese curds, no complaints.
Horses Invade Campsite on Assateague Island
While visiting Assateague Island State Park on the Maryland coast with my father, we stumbled upon a family's campsite that was being invaded by the native horses. The family mistakenly left food out while getting ready for their day at the beach and the horses tore the campsite apart. Two children were trapped inside the picnic table as the horses wrecked havoc on the food left out above them. The horses moved away once they ate a good bit of food, and the kids were able to get out of under the table.
Note: Rule #1 of camping is to never leave food out or unattended.
Wilmington Riverfront Hotel Construction
This story included a coverage of two new hotel construction projects on the Riverfront in Wilmington, DE. A bustling spot of entertainment and business in Wilmington, the hotels are primed to bring in good business.
Note: There is no note for this.
Becca Richtman Track and Field Shoot
Becca Richtman helped put the Montana Tech Track and Field on the map. This shoot was for an alumni magazine edition cover/feature. Between 2021 and 2022 she placed top three in over 28 races and first place in 17 races. Graduating in 2022, her run at Montana Tech has ended, however the history she made for the school remains along with her legacy as the school's best runner to date.

The University of Delaware's First Official NFL ProDay
This was the first and last annual NFL ProDay at the University of Delaware. Over 50 NFL scouts and representatives came to scout out the outgoing talent at the University. The main attraction for scouts being the Blue Hens' star safety, Nasir Adderley. He would later go on to be drafted in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft by the LA Chargers.
Note: As a long time NFL fan, it was super interesting to see the behind the scenes of a proday and see so many team scouts.

Chemour's Press Conference
Chemours had a grand opening for the building they dubbed the new headquarters for their research that they built at the STAR campus in Newark. In attendance were dozens of business partners, research leads, company associates and local politicians. This building was a multi-million dollar project that was built in hopes of having UD students and graduates aid in their groundbreaking scientific research.
Note: We could photograph nothing but the presser. Was given a tour of the facility, excluding the basement where i could only assume they held aliens or failed experiments.
UD Lab Fire
Emergency crews surrounded Brown Hall at the University of Delaware after a lab explosion injured two students during a classroom experiment. Both students were taken Christiana Hospital and were treated for non-life threatening injuries.Classes in Brown Hall and the nearby Drake Hall were subsequently cancelled for the rest of the day.
Note: I was living off campus and at home when the news broke. I immediately grabbed my camera and drove 20 minutes to cover it before the emergency crews cleared out.
